Alongside iOS 9.1, Apple today released watchOS 2.0.1, a minor update to the Apple Watch’s most significant feature release, which arrived in late September.
Like most ‘point’ releases, watchOS 2.0.1 is mainly focused on fixing bugs. Apple’s change log includes fixes for problems associated with the software update process (meta, we know), high battery usage, and instability with Live Photos.
watchOS users will be automatically updated to version 2.0.1 once their iPhone 5 or above has been updated to iOS 9.1. To check on the update process, head to the Apple Watch app on your iPhone and go to General/Software Update and tap Install. Your Apple Watch will need to be at 50 percent battery or higher, and be connected to a power source.
The update comes in around 63MB.
