Popular crowd-funding site Kickstart announced a few weeks ago that they’ll soon allow Canadians to launch projects – which takes direct aim at others in the space, specifically Indiegogo. Today, during a Canadian holiday, Kickstarter revealed that the go-live date is September 9th. They noted on their blog that “Creators in Canada can start building projects now,” but will not be able to launch until September 9th. The company also wants to get off on the right foot and has scheduled several Toronto and Montreal Kickstarter meetups and workshops so those interested in producing a projects can learn how to successfully reach their funding goal.
