TD Canada Trust may not offer the most robust mobile experience in the Canadian marketplace, but it is constantly adding new features to make life easier for its customers.
The latest update for iPhone and Android devices adds Cross-Border banking to the cards, which means that U.S. TD Bank customers can access their accounts inside the TD Canada Trust app. While it does not yet appear possible to perform transactions between the two banks — that would take a little bit more than a feature add-on — they’re likely working towards it.
Unfortunately, the apps on both platforms are little more than web views ensconced in an app window. Pages load slowly and animations are stiff; the Android version, in particular, is in dire need of a makeover. They get the job done, though.
