Samsung has announced a range of new devices today, and given clarification about a number of recently-launched products like the Galaxy S4 Active, mini and Zoom, all three variations of the Korean company’s popular flagship, the Galaxy S4.

One of the most notable additions to the lineup is the new Android-powered Galaxy NX, which is an interchangeable lens camera that builds off the success of the Galaxy Camera.

An improvement over last year’s Galaxy Camera, the NX sports a newer 20MP APC-C CMOS sensor, a 1.6Ghz Exynos 5 chip and LTE support, in addition to running Android 4.2.2.

The main draw here is interchangeable lens support, which allows users to attach one of 30 Samsung lenses.

Also announced was the dual-booting Android/Windows 8-powered tablet, the ATIV Q, which promises to provide the best of both worlds for consumers.

The 13.3-inch slider employs a variable hinge to work as both a tablet and a fully-fledged laptop, and the hardware speaks to that versatility. It’s powered by a Core i5 processor, which means that it will run a full version of Windows 8 Pro, in addition to an x86-optimized variant of Android 4.2.2.

Its screen resolution is an incredible 3200×1800 pixels, which makes for the highest-resolution laptop screen in the world, and it’s powered by 4GB of RAM and a 128GB SSD drive. Thanks to its Haswell CPU, Samsung promises up to nine hours of battery life.

The ATIV Q can switch seamlessly between Windows 8 and Android, and users can even pin Android apps on the Windows 8 home screen.

Samsung is offering something called SideSync, which lets users share data between the two disparate operating systems, though we’ve yet to see how the thing will be partitioned, and whether the amount of storage will be shared between the two OSes.

Another interesting feature is seamless backup from your Samsung phone to the PC, and users will also be able to type on the computer and have it appear on your Galaxy phone. Pretty impressive.
