Samsung is sponsoring mobile postcard app Touchnote until August 31st in another of its Olympics Galaxy S III-focused promotions. Luckily you don’t need to own a Samsung device, or even an Android, to make use of the promotion.
Normally $1.49, the app allows you to append a photo, caption and message to a virtual image, which is then printed and sent as a real-life postcard to anyone you want. The app got pushed really hard by Google when it first launched the Play Store, and Samsung’s efforts should see its brand recognition boosted yet again.
Touchnote is freely available for iOS and Android, and you can also head over to the Samsung Share Great Moments site to upload photos from your computer. The expected turnaround time for postcards is between 2-5 business days depending on the address, so get posting!
