Sony has been working hard on competing in the tablet space. They first released the Android-powered Tablet S, then the Xperia Tablet S. Now, if the leaks are true, Sony will be coming back to the tablet table and launch the Xperia Tablet Z – this follows the same branding as their latest Xperia Z smartphone.
According to a Tweet by Xperia_info, the Xperia Tablet Z will reportedly have a similar overall design as the Xperia Z and be resistant and dust proof. In addition, this tablet will be LTE-enabled, run Android OS 4.1 Jelly Bean, 10.1 inch full HD Display (resolution of 1,920 × 1,200), 1.5 GHz quad-core APQ8064 Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro processor, 2GB RAM, internal storage of 32GB, 8.1MP camera and 2.2MP front-facing camera, 6.9mm thin, 6000mAh Battery and come in both black and white.
There’s no images or pricing to back up this info, but rumours are circling that this will launch sometime in Q2 2013. Perhaps we’ll see Sony unveil the Tablet Z at Mobile World Congress next month. Until then, just a rumour…
