Samsung is reportedly moving past the fingerprint scanner in its next flagship to also embed an iris scanner into its next smartphone.
Earlier this week, a report revealed the go-to-market name will be the Galaxy Note 7, which follows the Note 5, Note 4 family of devices. The branding will skip past the Note 6 to be congruent with the Galaxy S7 devices and be less confusing to consumers.
Images of the front panel of the Galaxy Note 7 have now shown itself with an accompanying placement for an iris scanning technology on the top, near the camera cutouts. In addition, if true, it seems the Note 7 will have curved display.
