Gmail for Android gets Save to Google Drive support and improved UI

Gmail app for Android

A little over a week after passing the 1 billion download mark, Google’s Gmail for Android app has received an update containing a great feature for heavy Google Drive users. Users can now save email attachments directly to their Google Drive account, freeing up valuable memory and ensuring important files are available across all devices.

The update also contains several UI tweaks, including re-arranged settings in the ‘hamburger’ menu, fast access to the side navigation menu by swiping from the left edge of the screen, and various Easter eggs for those lucky few that achieve inbox zero. Arabic, Hebrew, and Persian speakers will be happy to know that the latest version of Gmail for Android also contains improved right-to-left (RTL) language support.

The updated app is available now at the source link below.
