RunKeeper for Android gets redesign and new features in version 3.0

RunKeeper has long been one of the top mobile fitness apps, allowing users to track their runs across multiple platforms.

It received an update to version 3.0 this week, bringing a brand new Holo-based design and a host of new features to the Android plaform. There’s a new ‘Me’ section that promises to motivate you by conveying how well you’re doing in relation to your previous runs.

There’s also a new notification system to remind you to keep up with your runs, a feature that will be appreciated by those apprehensive winter joggers. The new app was created with Android’s updated design guidelines in mind, and should fit right in with many modern apps on the platform.
