Take this one with a grain of salt, but the potential follow-up to the excellent and underrated Sony Tablet S has passed through the FCC. Running with a model number SGPT1211, not much is known about the device other than it is a “Tablet Device.”
There is no question that Sony will come back strong into the Android tablet market now that software and hardware is considerably more powerful than it was last year. The company brought Ice Cream Sandwich to the Tablet S recently, which gave it a sizeable speed boost and brought some excellent new features to the Tegra 2 hardware.
We’re hoping that Sony builds on what it’s learned, and with its newly-expanded content library, has a hit on its hands.
