Here’s the latest point of wireless distribution. The Brick. This is one of Canada’s big furniture, mattress, appliance, electronics retailers who usually has a “Tent Sale” to get rid of old inventory, and they’re now home to full-service Mobilicity kiosks.
Mobilicity operates in Toronto, Ottawa, Edmonton, Calgary and Vancouver, but will only sell in the Toronto and Edmonton locations. According to the press release this strategy “reinforces Mobilicity’s commitment to growing its national retail distribution” and the kiosks “will complement The Brick’s electronics department” by offering the latest devices and plans.
Mobilicity COO Anthony Booth stated that “Teaming up with The Brick makes a lot of sense. After all, Canadians have turned to The Brick for added value for years. We are excited about bringing The Brick customers the value they deserve in wireless.”
Mobilicty previously declared that they were Canada’s “fastest-growing new wireless entrant.” It’s estimated they have approximately 300,000 subscribers.
