Round 7: Canadian Wireless Spectrum almost $1 billion

Who has this kind of Canadian money flying around?  As you can see we are just about to cross the $1 billion mark in the Canadian Wireless Spectrum Auction.  The increase from round 6 was an astounding $101,222,469 to bring the total to $965,514,063 – with 21 players remaining.

Quebecor Inc. seems to be the one to beat as Canada’s next top national wireless carrier and leads the pack with 25 licences valued at $323.9 million. Bell is a cool $100 million away from top spot and Telus’ 63 licences is the most by any bidder.
