ASUS Transformer Prime upgrade to Ice Cream Sandwich begins rolling out

Are you part of the small group of Canadians that grabbed the ASUS Transformer Prime when it was released a few weeks back? There’s not many of you around. There’s also no sign of when retailers will refill their stock, even ASUS stated last week that they are trying to “fulfill the incredible demand”. The company also noted that the anticipated upgrade to Android OS 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich will start on January 12th, but while on stage at CES Jen-Hsun Huang, NVIDIA’s CEO, confirmed that the upgrade to ICS for the Tegra 3 Transformer Prime has already started rolling out.

If you have the Transformer Prime and haven’t been graced with the OTA notification, it’s best to head on over to the settings tab and check for updates. Users are reporting a bump in performance and all the usual ICS goodness.
