Jet Black iPhone 7 ‘may show fine micro-abrasions with use,’ Apple suggests buying a case

If you’re interested in purchasing the new iPhone, specifically the Jet Black iPhone 7, then Apple is suggesting you buy a case to avoid the plethora of scratches you’ll see. According to the fine print in specifications on the specs page, Apple says:

“The high-gloss finish of the jet black iPhone 7 is achieved through a precision nine-step anodization and polishing process. Its surface is equally as hard as other anodized Apple products; however, its high shine may show fine micro-abrasions with use. If you are concerned about this, we suggest you use one of the many cases available to protect your iPhone.”

The new Jet Black iPhone 7 is only available in 128GB and 256GB model and will be available to pre-order on September 9th.
