Apple’s “Hand-Picked” promo discounts select games and apps by 50%

Apple’s new “Hand-Picked Apps & Games” promo is now live in the App Store, cutting the price of some titles in half.

Each paid app was picked by Apple based on popularity or reputation, with a base cost of $1.19, rising to $5.79.

Some of the high-profile apps include Monument Valley and AG Drive for $2.29, Notability for $3.49, djay 2 for $1.19, iA Writer Pro for $5.49, and Day One, the excellent iOS-only journaling tool, for $2.29.

Apple notes these apps and games are on sale for a “limited time” and you can check them out by hitting up the App Store.
