Roam Mobility SIM cards can now be purchased at Best Buy, Future Shop and Canada Computers

Roam Mobility continues their expansion into Canadian retail stores. After successfully sealing deals with London Drugs and 7-Eleven, the Vancouver-based company announced that their SIM cards are now available at 265 Best Buy and Future Shop stores in Alberta, British Columbia, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario, Quebec, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island and Newfoundland.

Roam offers low-cost U.S. text, voice and data roaming packages and Emir Aboulhosn, founder and CEO of Roam Mobility, said “our new partnership will help us reach more Canadians who want to avoid roaming fees when they visit the US.”

Canadian carriers have dropped their roaming rates over the past number of months, mainly mandated by the CRTC, and Roam’s plans range from $3.95 per day to $89.95 for 30 days with 9GB data.

Update, July 22nd: Roam has announced that its SIM cards are now available for sale at 17 Canada Computers stores in Ontario and Quebec, with plans to open an additional 16 stores in the “near future.” Roam’s SIM cards retail for $19.95.
