Netflix has now updated its iPhone app to take advantage of the new iPhone 5 screen. This is one of the first media apps that has been updated for the 16:9 ratio of the new iPhone and it looks and works great. Pair it with an Apple TV for some AirPlay Mirroring (and perhaps a U.S.-based VPN service) and you have yourself a pretty fantastic collection of modern movies and television shows for $7.99/month.
This update comes shortly after a revamp to the company’s iPhone and Android apps to put more emphasis on what you’re currently watching, and recommendations based on what you’ve recently seen.
