Facebook released a native camera uploading app for iPhone weeks before it announced its acquisition of Instagram, and now the client has received its first update.
While it is a minor update, it brings some important functionality that arguably should have been there since 1.0. Version 1.1 allows users to upload to specific albums (not just Mobile Uploads), or to create a brand new album if desired.
Notifications have been added for likes, tags and comments, though we’re hoping Facebook knows not to notify twice if you’re already using the native Facebook app. You can also like individual comments.
The app has been translated into more than ten languages, including French, German, Japanese, Chinese and Italian.
