Samsung Group chairman Lee Kun-hee resigned after tax corruption scandal

“Today I decided to resign, I thought I had a long road to travel and a lot of things to do. I have regrets. But I think this is time for me to leave, taking all the mistakes of the past with me. I offer my apology from the bottom of my heart for causing concerns for the people. I am going to take full responsibility, both moral and legal.” said Samsung Group chairman, Lee Kun-hee during his nationally televised resignation following his indictment last week on charges of evading at least $128 million in taxes.
