Sierra Wireless has released another USB modem product called the Compass 597 USB modem.
Some highlights are:
– Potential data speeds of up to 3.1 Mbps on the downlink and 1.8 Mbps on the uplink
– Built-in GPS antenna
– Easy Installation (comes with no CD)
The Compass will be showcased at the upcoming CTIA Wireless in Las Vegas 597 and is the only product in its class to include a connector for an external antenna, allowing users in remote areas or fringe network coverage to extend and strengthen their connection to the network.
