Microsoft has launched a ‘Free Play Days for All’ event, allowing Xbox owners to play online for free this weekend.
From now until May 20th at 11:59pm PT, all Xbox One and Xbox 360 gamers to hop online with friends, even with the normally required Xbox Live Gold membership.
As well, Microsoft has also partnered with Ubisoft and Bethesda to offer two major third-party games for free as part of the promotion — Rainbow Six Siege and Fallout 4, respectively.
Rainbow Six Siege, developed by Canada’s own Ubisoft Montreal, is a hit tactical shooting game that encourages significant cooperation between players. Fallout 4, meanwhile, is Bethesda’s latest entry in the acclaimed post-apocalyptic RPG franchise.
Both games will also be free until May 20th.
It’s been a big day for Xbox-related announcements. The company officially unveiled a one-of-a-kind customizable, accessibility-minded controller for the Xbox One and followed up this announcement by rolling out May’s Xbox One system update.
