Steam is currently running the Atlantic Canada Game Celebration, offering a look at games made in and/or featuring New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, and Newfoundland and Labrador.
The celebration was organized by indie developer Greyhaven Craft (Defend Against Cats) and features a bunch of released and upcoming games. Notably, some of them are even set in or at least inspired by Atlantic Canada, which we rarely see in games.
Some of the highlights include:
- Button Man from Halifax’s Styrax Studios (beat ’em up set in prohibition-era Halifax) — TBA
- The Calling from PEI’s Buried Candy (VTuber multiplayer shooter) — TBA 2026
- The Caribou Trail from Montreal’s Unreliable Narrators (WWI adventure game about Newfoundland soldiers) — $12.74 (regularly $16.99)
- Cloudbreaker from Nova Scotia’s Ballast Games (roguelite ship combat) — $15.75
- A Little to the Left from Halifax’s Max Inferno (cozy puzzle game) — $7.99 (regularly $19.99)
