Online food delivery service Skip expanded its partnership with CIBC, and now offers free Skip+ to eligible CIBC cardholders.

As of April 29, cardholders can link their credit or debit cards in the Skip app’s ‘My Skip’ tab or via Skip’s linking website to unlock the benefits.

Skip+ gives customers $0 delivery fees and other benefits, including lower service fees, bonus points, premium deals, and other perks. Typically, it costs $9.99/mo.

Skip and CIBC offer some additional incentives for linking cards. There’s a $20 welcome bonus on your first order after linking (with min. $40 spend), and cardholders can earn a $10 voucher every month after placing four orders of $30 or more.

Overall, there are some nice benefits here if you happen to have an eligible CIBC card, particularly if you’re a heavy Skip user. The free Skip+ bonus alone is worthwhile for the savings on delivery fees if you order frequently.

And with Skip’s recent delivery expansions, there are a lot more opportunities now for Skip users to benefit from reduced fees. Earlier this month, Skip partnered with Loblaws for grocery delivery, and last month the delivery service joined forces with the Toronto Blue Jays to offer discounts on game day.
