Crave has announced that its original TV series adaptation of the popular Bon Cop Bad Cop Canadian movies will premiere on May 7. The first two episodes of the six-episode series will begin streaming on that date, followed by one new episode every subsequent Thursday.
A trailer was also revealed — check it out below.
Bon Cop Bad Cop stars Montreal’s Patrick Huard, reprising the role of David Bouchard from the films, while Toronto’s Henry Czerny (Mission: Impossible series) takes over as Martin Ward from Windsor, Ont.’s Colm Feore. In the new buddy cop series, the Quebecois and Ontarian police officers work with a team of younger cops on an investigation in an Indigenous community.
The series was filmed across Quebec and features dialogue in English, French, and the Indigenous language Mi’gmaq. Co-starring alongside Bouchard and Czerny are Montreal’s Sarah-Jeanne Labrosse (reprising her role as Martin’s daughter), Edmonton’s Nathaniel Arcand (North of 60), Ottawa’s Joshua Odjick (It: Welcome to Derry), and Pointe-du-lac’s Christine Beaulieu (Le Mirage).
