Microsoft has announced its Games with Gold promotion in June, which includes four new games for free.
- Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: June 1st – June 30th
- SMITE: Gold Bundle: June 16th – July 15th
- Sonic All-Stars Racing Transformed: June 16th – June 30th
- Indiana Jones 2: June 1st – June 15th

Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: Russia is based off the main Assassin’s Creed series and is part of a trilogy, along with Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: China and Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: India. The game is a single-player stealth platformer that features a large array of weapons including an assassin-like shoe blade. The game is regularly $9.99 CAD.
SMITE: Gold Bundle is a multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) in which a variety of gods from pantheons around the world battle against one another. In the game you may encounter battles with with Zeus — who’s classified as a mage — and Thor — who’s classified as an assassin. The Smite: Ultimate Pack is usually the only thing that’s sold for the, free-t0-play game as it offers all of the available gods. It seems Microsoft is creating a bundle which includes many, if not all of the gods, skins and voicelines similar to deal that PlayStation featured in 2017. Microsoft is claiming that the bundle is worth $99.99 USD ($128 CAD). If you’ve already purchased the game, it’s likely that the skins and so on, will be added to your account.
Sonic All-Stars Racing Transformed is a racing game featuring the famous blue hedgehog himself, Sonic. The game features characters from various franchises, like Jet Set Radio and Space Channel. It operates on a mechanic that allows the vehicle to transform between car, boat and plane. The game is regularly available for $29.99 CAD.
LEGO Indiana Jones 2: The Adventure Continues is an action-adventure game that allows users to play characters including in the movie Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull which was not included in the prequel, LEGO Indiana Jones: The Original Adventures. The game retails for $19.99.
An Xbox Live Gold membership costs $69.99 for 12 months. Memberships can be purchased online or at retail stores like Best Buy, Walmart and EB Games.
