Microsoft’s accessibility-focused Xbox One controller leaks ahead of E3

Xbox One Project Z accessibility controller

Rumours have been circulating for a few months now that Microsoft has plans to release a heavily customizable Xbox controller designed with accessibility in mind.

Now, a new leaked image of the gamepad, originally posted by Twitter user ‘WalkingCat,‘ has appeared online. The controller features two oversized A and B pads, a d-pad and standard Xbox One navigation button controls. It also includes the same three-light LED first shown in the second-generation Xbox One Elite controller leak from a few months ago.

Other features include a headphone jack and a USB port to allow users to program the controller for specific accessibility needs for specific video games. The controller is reportedly codenamed Project Z internally at Microsoft.

It’s likely that this Xbox One accessibility controller will be revealed at E3 next month. Microsoft’s E3 keynote is set for June 10th this year.
