Toronto-based smart home service provider Simply Smart Home is partnering with Nest to give 50,000 Nest Protect units to Torontonians.
To take advantage of the offer, visit mynestprotect.com and sign up to receive the product and free installation.
Currently, the offer is limited to one unit per household and only homeowners, not renters, are eligible. The company to MobileSyrup that the promotion is available to all homes within the Greater Toronto Area, not just Toronto proper.
According to the company, 10,000 home owners have signed up to take advantage of the offer. Simply Smart Home’s Kirill Tatarinov says that number could be different based on Nest’s data, however.
MobileSyrup has reached out to Nest for comment on the promotion. We’ll update this article when we hear back from the company.
The Nest Protect is a smart smoke alarm and carbon monoxide detector that connects to your phone and has a wide variety of other smart features.
Update 07/05/2018: We’ve reached out to Nest and its confirmed that the 50,000 device limit has been reached.
