Boozer is the perfect tool for delivering alcohol straight to your door [App of the Week]

The holidays are drawing near and it’s that special time of year when there seems to almost be a holiday party of some sort almost every day.

With laziness on the rise, Boozer is the perfect app to help get alcohol delivered right to your door without having to go outside in the freezing cold to purchase it yourself.

Boozer is a Toronto-developed app that works like UberEats, but for alcohol.

The iOS-based app allows users to choose from a selection of alcohol from the LCBO. You can also navigate through an assortment of colourful pages that includes Beers, Ciders, Wines, Spirits and Coolers, amounting to a total of at least 20,000 options, according to Boozer.

After scrolling through a variety of types of alcohol, users are able to select from any drink and add it to their cart. Users can also search for a specific drink instead of having to scroll through the variety of booze.

After adding the specific drinks to their cart, users can checkout and pay for their complete order when ready. There is an extra delivery charge of $10 after each payment.

What’s great about Boozer is the app’s ability to track deliveries. Users can see exactly when the driver receives the items, then, when the order is accepted, the order can be picked up from the LCBO.

The LCBO app also requires at least a $50 delivery, which likely wouldn’t work for someone who doesn’t want to spend a significant amount of money on alcohol.

Boozer only delivers in Toronto from Keele Street East towards Victoria, and then St. Clair down towards the lake. Additionally, deliveries run from 9am to 11pm from Monday to Friday, Saturdays noon to 11pm, and Sundays from noon to 7pm.

As of right now, Boozer is free and only available on iOS, however, the app is also coming to Android in the near future.
