Well if it’s “Samsung’s way” it may never see an update period. Been there done that more than once and one reason I’ve now gone with an iPad. So in other words I’ll never buy another Samsung tablet.

Surprised to see it comes with 32GB onboard though which may be a typo if referenced elsewhere says 16GB.

Anything less than 128 GB of storage in the year 2017 (almost 2018 now) is a complete joke and a pass for me.

Although I agree “more the merrier” don’t think you’d find anything in this price range having 64GB let alone 128GB. Like I said, surprised it comes w/32GB.

    1280 x 800 resolution in 2017? HARD PASS

IMO, for an 8″ screen mostly to be used by kids, it’s not all that bad. There are tablets with much higher resolutions, but with higher price tags go with it. I think the price should be close to $200-$250 for these, though.

      It’s a tablet.

I need a new tablet because my Nexus 7 2013 is starting to show it’s age. I’m not sure I’d be happy with somethign spec’d like this though, and there aren’t many other options on the market 🙁

Apple has won my vote in the tablet market. Works and has support, something I’ve found Samsung fails miserably at. In saying that though, price isn’t atrocious compared to what I paid for my Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 (16GB/2GB Ram) which was over $400 – Of course screen res was much higher.

Only downside to going with an iPad, and I had one before, is paying to have main devices in both ecosystems. But it does feel like the Android tablet market has dried up, so it might be nearing that time to give an iPad a look.
