Looks like the Bell/Rogers 75% stake in Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment (MLSE) is paying off in branding opportunities.
Bell announced today that they’ve entered into a multi-year partnership with the NBA. Bell has become an ‘Official Partner of the NBA’ that ‘further enhances Bell’s position as the official communications partner for basketball in Canada.’ The terms of the partnership were not disclosed, but will see Bell’s services predominantly displayed across various avenues over the next few years, mainly on its Mobile TV offering – which recently passed over the 1 million subscriber milestone.
According to the release, Bell customers will be able to watch weekly NBA content on their mobile device, plus watch NBA highlights from 1,300 NBA games.
