Poynt recently filed for protection from creditors under the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act, leading many (including us) to believe that they were on the verge of actual bankruptcy. According to a clarification made to CrackBerry, the company is doing just fine. “We are continuing to operate, grow and develop. Nothing really has changed,” says CEO Andrew Osis, and claims that the company is adding 20,000 new users each day.
They are still on track to bring a BlackBerry 10 app to the platform on its debut, and we can expect lots of good things from Poynt in the future.
Poynt is available for Android, iOS, BlackBerry smartphones, PlayBook, Windows Phone and Nokia devices.
