Acer has just announced that the Iconia Tab A510 is up for pre-order at “national electronics retailers”, but I couldn’t find anything listed yet on Future Shop or Best Buy. No word on an official launch date of this Android OS 4.0 Ice Cream “Olympics edition” tablet, but it’ll come in two colours for $450: A510-10s32 (silver) and Acer A510-10k32 (black). Specs are impressive as it has a quad-core Tegra 3 processor, 1GB of RAM, 10.1-inch display (resolution of 1280×800), Wi-Fi, HDMI, DLNA, 5MP rear-facing camera and 1MP front-facing camera. Acer is also touting its battery life, stating that the 9800mAh battery is “one of the highest capacity models in the industry” and “customers can enjoy their tablet for up to 12 hours of video playback”.
We’ll let you know when retailers have opened up pre-orders.
