TELUS and Bell reportedly turn on LTE in Newfoundland

LTE (Long Term Evolution) has reportedly arrived in Newfoundland this morning. We’ve received several emails from both Bell and TELUS customers that they have turned on the LTE switch in St. John’s and stretches out to Mount Pearl. Both carriers have yet to update their coverage map so we’re not sure how large the coverage extends to. The speeds are solid so far at an average download of 30Mbps and uploads reaching 25Mbps.

(Thanks Chad, Zachary, Lamont!)
