Sony recently halted sales of their Xperia Tablet S because a manufacturing error was found that caused water damage in the water resistant tablet. A bit ironic, but Sony acknowledged the issue and immediately offered up free inspections and repairs to all users. It’s been about a month and good news to loyal Sony fans as it seems like the Android-powered tablet will once again be available. According to a post on the Sony Japan they stated that “the sale of products that are scheduled to resume gradually from mid-November.”
No indication what Sony means by “gradually,” but hopefully it’s not limited to a limited number of countries. Surely there’s a few Canadians who’ve been wanting to get their hands on the Ice Cream Sandwich tablet (an upgrade to Jelly Bean has also been promised).
