Videotron is Quebec’s most innovative and engaging brand, according to a new survey from Ipsos and Infopresse.
The regional carrier earned the distinction at the Grand Prix Marketing awards ceremony on Wednesday evening.
Videotron came out of the event the most awarded telecom provider. Of the four categories it was nominated in, the carrier won in two, taking the top spot in the ‘forward-thinking’ and ‘engagement’ categories.
The other big winners were drugstore chain Jean Coutu and Desjardins. The former won in the ‘consumer confidence’ and ‘presence’ categories, while the latter won in the social responsibility category. Social responsibility, coincidentally, was the only category Videotron was not nominated in. Other brands that were nominated but did not win include Ubisoft, Hydro-Quebec, Maxi and IGA.
Videotron was the only carrier in Quebec to be recognized by Ipsos and Infopresse. Ipsos and Infopresse have ranked the most influential brands in Quebec for the past three years. Wednesday’s win was the culmination of a survey that ranked Quebec’s 100 most influential local, national and international brands.
“This distinction shows that Videotron is an engaging, forward-looking brand that is ahead of the curve and more in sync than ever with its customers and their expectations, two critical factors in the digital age,” said Julie Brault, vice president of branding and ominchannel digital strategy, in a prepared statement.
“Over the years, we have been able to set ourselves apart thanks to our best ambassadors, our employees. They are the ones who are building the Videotron brand and delivering the best customer experience day after day. We owe this honour to them.”
