Samsung Galaxy S7 is reportedly seeing ‘stronger-than-expected pre-orders’

It looks like the Galaxy S7 may surpass Samsung’s sales expectations.

According to Dong-jin Koh, president of Samsung’s handsets business, his company’s upcoming flagship smartphones, the Galaxy S7 and and Galaxy S7 edge, are experiencing stronger than expected pre-orders.

The 5.1-inch Galaxy S7 and 5.5-inch Galaxy S7 edge are an act of refinement for Samsung, improving over the S6 in a number of subtle ways. The S7 is waterproof, features an Exynos 8890 processor, and a sleeker form factor. For many, however, the upgrades featured in the S7 aren’t the leap forward some expected.

Koh also says that the S7 has helped revive the company’s sales in China, the world’s top smartphone market, and a region where the South Korean company continues to lag behind its competitors.
