The admittedly very cool Xbox Series X25 special edition console was sold out within minutes of launching on Thursday. While I did see one of my friends purchase the Xbox (he shared a story online), it seems lots of bots and scalpers managed to get the limited-edition Xbox as well.
The limited-edition Xbox sports a transparent green shell and costs $1,149.99 in Canada, but it’s already sold out everywhere. That is, everywhere except eBay, where people are scalping the console. There are several “confirmed presale” listings on eBay selling the device for as low as C$2,016 up to $3,200.

The Microsoft website restricted people from buying more than one console per person and required a Microsoft account. However, it’s unlikely Amazon or Best Buy had that buyer restriction.
Luckily, the Xbox controller isn’t sold out everywhere because people are trying to sell it for more than $200 as well on eBay, which seems totally unnecessary given it’s still available for pre-order at several retailers for $100. A quick check by MobileSyrup found it on Best Buy, Amazon, and Walmart.
