Google is rolling out a new feature called Motion Assist by Google, which aims to help reduce or eliminate motion sickness when using a device inside a moving vehicle. This Android 17 feature is rolling out in phases, with Pixel devices getting the first dose.
Reportedly, these magic dots can help address motion sickness. Motion Assist uses your phone’s accelerometer and gyroscope to place dots around the periphery of the screen and move with the motion of your car. When the car turns right, the dots go left; when the car turns left, the dots go right; and when the car brakes, the dots slide forward.
Some users in the Android Authority Assemble Debug Telegram group mentioned seeing it on their Pixel 11 Pro XL. I don’t see it on the Pixel 11 Pro Fold or the Pixel 10 Pro XL running Android 17, indicating that it’s coming in phases.

You can check it out if you have the feature by heading to Settings > Your profile > All services, then scroll down to the Personal & device safety section and select Motion Assist. Then turn on the toggle that will automatically detect if your car is moving and turn on Motion Assist.
