Telus is reportedly sending texts to select Public Mobile customers as part of a migration deal, offering $25 per month for 5GB of data at 5G speeds. Customers will be able to migrate through the deal from Public Mobile to Telus.
The price includes a pre-authorized discount, meaning it’s really $35 for 5GB, but there’s a $10 discount if you allow Telus to automatically take the money out of your bank account each month.
Customers switching from Public Mobile to Telus should know that postpaid plans sometimes require a credit check and that postpaid plan rates can increase with 30 days’ notice, unlike prepaid plans that will remain fixed.
Also, the switch over from Public Mobile to Telus will eliminate any loyalty benefits you have with the flanker brand.
It’s worth noting that this deal isn’t really that good, and I’d wait until a better promotion comes along before making the switch over.
