Bell brings Fibe TV straight to Smart TVs with new app

The Five TV app is available now on Samsung, LG and other Smart TVs

Bell announced that it’s bringing hardware-free Fibe TV to customers in Ontario and Québec. These customers will be able to stream live and on-demand content on compatible Smart TVs and streaming devices without the need for a box.

The Fibe TV app is now available on Samsung, LG, and Roku Smart TVs. Bell has a complete list of devices on its website. If you’re someone who likes receivers and would rather use them, or don’t have a compatible Smart TV, Bell continues to provide hardware options. However, Bell says that the Fibe TV app provides users with the same navigation as the box and still offers cloud PVR, restart, and TVOD purchasing.

Recently, Bell kicked off the holidays by laying off nearly 700 employees across Bell and Bell Media workforces. And Bell confirmed it will raise prices for internet, TV, and home phone customers in Ontario and Quebec in 2026.
