December Pixel update might come with a speed boost

The most recent Android QPR2 update might make your Pixel 10 even quicker. While some have complained about the handset’s speeds in the past, especially when it comes to gaming, reports are pouring in about the update increasing speeds.

Users on Reddit are saying that their handset is moving faster and feeling smoother after the update. Others even say that their phone’s app launch animations are now smoother and the device even runs cooler. Android Police even says that some benchmarks have improved since the update. Further, older Pixel phones might have also seen a speed boost, according to AP’s report. AP suggests that the updated speed could be because of improvements to the Generational Concurrent Mark-Compact (CMC) Garbage Collector, which will more efficiently use your device’s CPU.
