Google Assistant is now able to place audio and video calls through WhatsApp.
To do so, simply say “Hey Google, WhatsApp video” or “Hey Google, WhatsApp call” alongside the recipient’s name.
Previously, audio calls through Assistant only worked through the phone’s calling feature, while Assistant video calls required Google Hangouts or Google Duo.
For now, Google Assistant’s WhatsApp audio and video calls are only available on Android.
