Reigns is one of my favourite mobile games of all time and Reigns: Her Majesty, the game’s sequel — which just released today — builds on the concept the first title established.
In Reigns: Her Majesty, players take control of a queen in a new kingdom, with the goal of staying alive as long as possible by making kingdom- and life-altering decisions.
As you may have guessed, this is actually more difficult than it sounds, especially when the situations and decisions that a queen is forced to make are directly compared to the standard version of Reigns, where the player takes on the role of a recently anointed king.
In most cases, there really is no right way to handle things in Her Majesty. For example, if you’re too overbearing and successful, you’ll overshadow your husband, encouraging him to murder you by locking you away in a tower for the rest of your life. Yes, you read that correctly.
I’m only just checking out what the sequel has to offer, but we’ll have more on Reigns: Her Majesty later this week.
