OnePlus is about to unveil its latest smartphone, the OnePlus 3. This has been heavily leaked and teased for weeks, with One Plus promising to bring another “flagship killer” to the masses.
Similar to the release of the OnePlus 2, OnePlus will be using a virtual reality experience to show off its latest tech. The event will take place in its virtual headquarters in space, which is called the Loop. For those lucky enough to score one of its Loop VR headsets, or any VR headset you currently have, you can watch it all unfold in a 360-degree VR experience starting at 12:30pm EST by downloading the OnePlus 3 launch app from the Play Store.
Thankfully, OnePlus will also be expanding the unveiling of the OnePlus 3 to a larger audience through a dedicated page on its site, where you can watch through your mobile device or via the web.
In addition, OnePlus is opening pop-up retail stores on June 15th in London, Berlin, Paris and New York for people to check out the OnePlus 3. Unfortunately, nothing is planned for Canada.
This year, OnePlus has opted out of the invite system but will still be selling the OnePlus 3 through its online store. As for specs, rumours have pointed towards this smartphone sporting a 5.5-inch 1080p display, Snapdragon 820 processor, 6GB RAM, 3,000mAh battery, 16MP rear camera, and running Oxygen OS based on Android Marshmallow.
