Samsung Galaxy S9+ might feature an up to 90 percent screen-to-body ratio

There’s a new rumour circulating that the Samsung Galaxy S9+ will have a higher screen-to-body ratio than anything currently on the market.

SamMobile’s sources claim that the Galaxy S9+’s top bezel will be a bit narrower than the Samsung Galaxy S8+ and will support at most a 90 percent screen-to-body ratio.

As it stands, no smartphone features that sort of ratio. The closest is the Essential Phone, which features a 85 percent screen-to-body ratio. Meanwhile, the Samsung Galaxy S8+ has a 83.4 percent screen-to-body ratio. Even Apple’s iPhone X only features a 82.9 percent screen-to-body ratio.

BGR reports that Samsung will also use an improved OLED panel for the Samsung Galaxy S9. Though the South Korean company supplies the displays for the iPhone X, the report claims Samsung is to going to try to outdo Apple’s performance by enhancing their own panel.
