Samsung Galaxy View coming to Canada exclusively through Bell on November 19

Samsung Galaxy View

Samsung today announced its recently unveiled Galaxy View tablet will come to Canada on November 19.

The View features an 18.4-inch 1080p display, one of Samsung’s own octa-core Exynos processors clocked at 1.6Ghz, 2GB of RAM, 32 GB of internal storage (expandable by an additional 128GB thanks to a microSD slot), a 5,700mAh battery that is able to sustain the device through eight hours of continuous playback, Bluetooth 4.1 as well as WiFi 802.11 ac connectivity and Android 5.1.

Samsung has baked in a video-centric user interface that help plays up the View’s intended role as a device meant to replace a second TV.

The tablet is also set to come preloaded with the Bell Fibe TV app, which grants Fibe customers access to their subscription content. This means, unlike a dedicated HDTV, you don’t need to lease a second digital box from Bell to watch live TV on the View. Bell’s strategy is to push the View into as many homes as possible to grow its second screen content strategy.

Set to be sold exclusively through Bell and The Source, the tablet will retail for $699.
