Virgin Plus has introduced a new 60GB data plan at a lower price, right in time for the warmer months.
The Bell sub-brand is advertising a new “Summer forecast” sale, which offers a $45/60GB bring-your-own-phone plan that includes Unlimited Canada-wide calling and texting, unlimited international texting from Canada, Voicemail/Call Display/Conference Calling, suspicious call detection, and hotspot capabilities.

Now, there is one thing: Virgin already has a 60GB plan, and it’s a Canada-US-Mexico-wide plan that also includes unlimited international calling to 27 destinations. However, this plan comes in at $50/mo.
Honestly, although this offer is solid (especially for Virgin Plus customers), there are better options at the $45-$50 price point. Including limited-time offers, Telus-owned Public Mobile currently has a $40/100GB plan and a $45/150GB plan. If you want to spend the full $50, you could get a $50/200GB plan. Excluding limited-time offers, Public normally offers a $45/100GB CAN/US/MEX plan with more data and more calling for the same price. Freedom Mobile also offers a $45/100GB CAN/US/MEX plan that includes 5GB of Freedom’s Roam Beyond data.
