Ericsson Canada appointed a new president on July 28.
Nishant Grover will take over the role from Jeanette Irekvist, who has led the company since 2020.
Grover brings 18 years of Ericsson experience to the role, built on senior leadership positions across customer-facing and product organizations. He most recently served as the head of network product sales within AT&T’s Customer Unit in the U.S.
Ericsson is a key company in Canada’s telecommunications sector. It supplies 5G tech to Canadian telecoms like Bell, Rogers, and Telus. Ericsson also works closely with the Canadian government and with various educational institutions.
The company also has research and development centres in Montreal, Ottawa, and Toronto and is one of the country’s leading R&D spenders, averaging $345 million per year.
