Microsoft has announced that Oculus Rift owners will be able to stream Xbox One content from the console to their headset beginning December 12th, over a year after the plan was first announced in June 2015.
To access the functionality, users will have to download an Xbox One streaming app from the Oculus Store. Once installed, users can then stream console output directly to the Rift headset.
The streaming feature is just one aspect of the partnership between Facebook-owned Oculus and Microsoft. The Redmond-based tech giant is also going to ship its wireless Xbox One controllers along with the Rift and is expected to debut its own VR-ready Xbox in 2017.
