Turns out you don’t need suspect microscopic lifeforms to start using The Force like Anakin Skywalker, at least when it comes to Sphero’s recently released Star Wars-themed toy.
French website Web des Objets has discovered that it’s possible to control the adorable BB-8 Sphero using the Myo, the Canadian designed armband that allows users to control a variety of software and objects with the electrical signals generated by their arm muscles.
The setup doesn’t even require any sort of hacking; there’s already an iOS and Android app that allows one to control a Sphero with Myo. In fact, given how perfect the convergence of these technologies is, it’s surprising that all involved haven’t gotten together to promote this functionality.
